back from colorado. had a blast. went to breckenridge on monday to ski. i was worried i wouldn't remember how to, but it all came back to me. skiied all day, even though i had lost my lift ticket halfway through the day. it was alright by that time b/c the lift dudes remembered me and "those brown pants" of mine and would just wave me by. they were a funny bunch, scorched red with goaties and taking pleasure in the weirdest things, i.e., my ski pants. i ended up a little burnt myself; i had and actually still have a funny red circle around my nose and part of my cheek. it was so much fun.

tuesday left ski land for boulder where i looked to price out expensive houses and play around with the town. i think of all the places i went on this trip boulder is my favorite place on the east side of the mountains, will probably look into moving there. met up with some friends of the family who live in estes park that night. they came down in their nicely mud covered jeep and we went to dinner at some restaurant on the mall. they had all sorts of fun stories, from water law issues when they moved up there to elk and mountain lions taking over their yards. they are an interesting couple.

wednesday was the day of nonstop travelling, as i went up to fort collins to have a look around, then colorado springs. was gonna stay in colorado springs, but the weather started getting a bit icky so after a little looksy went back up to denver for the night. there are some nice little towns between the foothills and pikes peak down there. manitou was my favorite, basically b/c i liked saying "manitoooo."

and now i'm back here. johnny left early this morning for florida and i know i'm gonna have an assload of work to do next week. ugh... wish i were still in colorado and skiing or wandering around the mountains.
