Hike and Pictures

Before I left DC my coworkers at Bright Beginnings gave me a 100 classic hikes in Colorado book. I'm slowly making my way through them, starting with the hikes closest to me. Yesterday I went up to the Gregory Canyon trailhead (up the road from Chatauqua) and started up. It was a nice hike. It climbed steedly up and up to the top where there were some nice clear views of Boulder and further on the trail the snowy mountains off west. The descent was steep. There were a few times I skidded on the gravely trail and slid down on my butt. I would say the hike down took just as long if not longer than the hike up. In the end I was glad I took the Gregory Canyon trail up instead of Saddle Rock (the trail I took down), that would've just destroyed me I think. Fun hike.

John's got some nice pictures up on his website. There are some of us and the Boulder area, as well as several pictures of biking and his costa rica trip. Check it out by clicking on the title of this post.
