Alfie

I went and saw Alfie yesterday. First I must point out that it is an R rated movie, and I got carded by the ticket man. What the hell?! I apparently don't even look 18. Yikes. I gave him a look to say, "You're kidding me right?" while I handed my id over to him. He looked at it and then I think he felt rather dumb. Handing it back to me he said, "You should take this as a compliment." Ok.

The movie itself was sad. I was expecting a light comedy about a player, but it was consistently sad I thought. That character is just fucked up. While I think Jude Law is a yummy dude I got rather annoyed after a while of him talking to the camera. Yes, I know that is the premise of the movie, but after a while I just wanted to tell him to shut up. I think many men are going to enjoy the topless scene with the very pretty Sienna Miller pracing about in Alfie's flat.

As for now, I'm at work making a couple extra bucks to make up for the several hundred I lost the week before being sick. And already I'm thinking of spending it all and going on a trip to visit friends and get into trouble. Hmmm. We'll see if that actually materializes.
