Back to work after a super weekend. Juan and I went up to Frisco to eat turkey, broccoli salad, green beans, rolls, cornbread, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, fruit salad, stuffing, cranberry sauce, crackers, cheese, apple pie, pumpkin pie, mimosas, and beers for Thanksgiving. We were with Brett, Lisa, Taylor, an English lass, two Kiwis, and several dogs. It was fun. It started snowing that night.
The next morning we decided we'd better head on back to Boulder so we wouldn't get stuck up in the mountains, not that that would necessarily be bad. The drive back was slushy and messy but we made it. Then it started snowing down in the Front Range. And it snowed and snowed and snowed some more.
Saturday we went to Chautauqua and hiked up to the first and second flatirons amidst the snow and slipperiness. Nice little hike. And it kept snowing and snowing. Sunday we unburied the car and headed out to Longmont to watch a bunch of crazy cyclists race in the snow. After TBrown won we began our trek back to the car. Once I spotted it I took off and fell right into a huge drift that went up to my waist. John had a nice laugh. We ended our weekend with a raging fire and ravioli. Not a bad weekend.
