update on what's goin on

Did my usual morning routine of reading through blogs, nytimes, and cyclingnews. Looks like the pope isn't doing too well, a tracheotomy sounds like an uncomfortable thing. But he's doing well after the procedure so who knows what will happen next. Also read that Ivan Basso's mother died today, and I thought that was so sad. His mom was 10 years younger than my mom, : ( Also was reading about Cunego's training for this season and it all sounds crazy to me who is done after less than two hours and less than 30 miles.

Been dogsitting a young Australia Sheep dog named Jake for the past couple days. Even though I love this dog and think he's so fun I've realized I don't really want a dog of my own until I have a yard of my own. This whole deal of bundling up over the pjs in the morning to have people who happen to be out in the parking lot sending me weird looks is icky. Why the looks? It's like they are either saying, "what the hell is that dog doing here?" or "you look like ass" or "you better pick up that dog's crap" (which I do thank you). Maybe it's just that the people who live in this complex aren't so keen on dogs. A yard of my own and a place a bit more separate from others would be my ideal for a doggy friend.
