This past weekend was the weekend of weather. Johnny and I headed up to Vail to check out the Teva Games, a multisport event taking place over several days. John planned to do the XC race in the afternoon on Saturday and then the hill climb on Sunday. It was rain city starting from Boulder and continuing to Vail. It cleared up for a few hours but John wasn't sure about racing in misty, cold, slop.
In the end we went to Frisco and met up with Lisa. John went out for a ride and Lisa and I hung out some. Saturday night we all (there were six of us for dinner) dined on a John Calgi tasty dinner accompanied by wine and beers. During dinner it started hailing.... great. We then watched "Team America, World Police" and I laughed my ass off at the ridiculous songs they had in this movie. "Freedom's not for free. There a heavy f++king fee." Ha!
So a weekend of planned racing turned out to be a weekend of going up to Frisco to hang out and watch a silly movie. Oh well. I had fun. Sunday we went back to Boulder in the morning and arrived in a heat wave and a cloudless sky.
