Thursday is the most ridiculous day of the work week for me, or for most of the people I work with for that matter. Thursdays are the long, slow days where not much happens and little new work comes my way. I have a cheat sheet that lays on my desk ready for me to check off all the things I know are coming up for a single day. My list of things to do on Thursdays? About a fourth the size of all the other days. I usually put work aside prior to Thursdays so I'll have stuff to do.
I'm not the only one in this boat. Last week I sat on my desk and had a chat with my neighbor in the next pod over. At some point in our conversation I looked up and saw about 4 or 5 others in my department doing pretty much the same thing, chatting with each other and standing around.
Thursdays should be half days or maybe we should have four day work weeks.
