Sunset

I just saw a great sunset on my drive back into Boulder. Where the hill crests, right before it plunges down into Boulder, the valley just opens up and the view is usually spectacular but tonight was decidedly more amazing. The visibility wasn't 100%, there was a haze that sat around the mountains coloring each range in various shades of blues and purples. To the right was Long's Peak, to the left the Flatirons. Between the two, nestled behind some mountains in the distance was the sun. It had already descended, but because of the haze in the air rays of orange and pink shot up and around. The contrast of colors was perfect. It made me happy. I hope everyone else on that commute took notice of it as well.
