It's been hot as Hades down here in the Front Range lately. 90s for the past few days and continuing through this weekend and on forever it seems. Ick. I've been drinking water like it's nobody's business, but yesterday at dinner I realized all that fluid is just hanging out in my system and not going anywhere. Gross.
John and I went to dinner with some of his buddies from his cycling club. I wish I hadn't eaten already b/c it looked really good. It was an all you can eat spagetti fest. I just sat there drinking wine while everyone else downed their pasta, but it was good time. Although I can't really contribute to their "club" talk, I always enjoy hearing their perspective on the racing scene and what they've been up to.
Yesterday while I was at work and in between things = walking around (I'm just too wiggly and need breaks from cube life) Jacob had this paper airplane that I stole and decided to toss into Al's cube as a surprise. Well, instead of just floating into his pod behind him it actually seemed to dive bomb straight into his face. Little did I know he was on a conference call on speakerphone. When the airplane hit him his arms flew up and he gasped. It was rather funny.
