Business Biking and Tour hits the Mtns

This morning I was driving down Broadway on my way out of Boulder to work when I passed a guy on a bike that I thought was amusing. It wasn't so much the fact that he was on a bike; although, it didn't fit him at all so his legs were flying around which was pretty funny. What actually amused me was that this dude was in business attire and really booking it. We're talking matching black jacket and slacks, tie flying in the wind, and shiny black shoes. I'm sure he wasn't going very far, or at least I hope not. I'm guessing he was late for something or maybe his car died and he had to jump on his roommate's bike to get to work. When I passed him I thought, "That's fanfuckingtastic. Ha."

Today's the first mountain stage of the tour. Been reading the online updates on cyclingnews. Maybe it's because I have an overly imaginative childlike mind, but when I read some of the commentating what I picture is going on is more dramatic and ridiculous than I'm sure is actually happening. For instance what would you picture from this bit from today....
"At the front Mick Rogers does a hard turn and Gonchar grabs his jersey and the two exchange heated words! Meanwhile Hincapie tries a dig at the front.

16:22 CEST 153.5km/42km to go - The issue between Gonchar and Rogers has grown to a full on slapping fight on the bike. Gonchar swings like a girl while the Aussie lands blow after telling blow. Meanwhile Landis has attacked."

Ha!
