High Heel Race - DC

Every year around this time a bunch of flamin' guys in drag race down a block down 17th St in DC. It is the funniest event ever. I went the two years I lived in the city. Both times I went "Princess Di" was there. She, like all the drag queens, would parade around for an half hour or so and then line up next to Fox and Hound and race down to the next block and back. Hilarious to watch 6'5 dudes racing down the street in heels so high that I would never wear with their wigs flying around. Some guys really get competitive and elbows are thrown during the all out sprint. Others just casually stroll the length of the block cat calling the audience. The first year I went the mayor came out. He walked around handing out gay and lesbian magnets of some sort while a couple drag queens tried to molest him. Freakin' hilarious. Good times.
