I made it to work today. Actually that wasn't too difficult, well mentally it was, but as far as traffic and weather and whatnot, it was the usual quick drive. It's starting to snow. Everyone at work is talking about it. Everyone on local news and radio are talking about it. The Denver area, south, and even northeast are suppose to be blasted with snow today through tomorrow. Some say 10 to 12 inches, some are predicting several feet. My concern is that we get hit will with this bountiful snow while I'm here at work today (which is a reasonable assumption). This will mean I'll have to drive home in the slop and traffic and craziness the comes about during blizzard conditions. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I'm hoping that the company will be responsible and send us all home early. That would be nice, but will still be a crappy drive.
I have plans to fly out of Denver this Saturday morning for the usual family Christmas gathering in Atlanta. I really really hope that the snow is gone by then and that everything goes as planned. This may be the last traditional Christmas we have at my grandmother's house so I don't want to miss it.
I like snow. I actually think a storm like this could be rather fun, but not this week when I need to get things done and get out of town.
