Girls and their Hair

I went and got a trim yesterday afternoon. First of all it seems like I can never get the transit time down. Every other time I leave work for a hair appointment I give myself 25-30 minutes to get to the salon, but then also seem to get there ~10 minutes late. It doesn't seem to take much time to get to Boulder, but then I get hung up at every light and in traffic so I end up late. Yesterday I decided to leave 40 minutes before my appointment, figuring that I'll end up being just on time. Nope, this time it was as if I was beamed from work to the salon, it took no time at all and I was super early. Oh well, luckily my hair stylist didn't have anyone before me and was just ready to get working again.

So I didn't loose any length, I just got the ends trimmed and got some layers cut to get some style back on my head. My hair stylist did a great job. Why is it that I can never make my hair look as fantastic as when it was fixed at the salon? I can't get it anywhere close. I'm going to end up being like those old women who go to the salon twice a week to get their hair done. The kind that don't wash or fix their own hair in between visits to the salon.

I also invested in a couple products to aid in my quest to fix my hair, whenever I feel motivated to pursue the quest that is. The two I ended up getting were expensive. One was only 8oz so I can't imagine that one was much, but you never know. Hair products from salons are expensive, but I have to admit that I like it more than other stuff I've tried. So the result of my visit was a fabulous hair cut that actually doesn't look too different than what I had before, two cans of product that I shouldn't have got, and a big bill. Good times.
