It's been crazy since I got back from my trip to DC. Here's a quick recap from then till now:Trip to DC: Was fantastic! Kristin and I stayed with Akilu in his new pad. Got to see some fun people that I hadn't see in a long time so that was great. Ate too much and apparently walked to much, or at least in the wrong shoes, because somehow I jacked up my foot in a walk from Columbia Heights to Georgetown. Enjoyed a chaippacino, Adams Morgan fun, Raku, Love Cafe, etc etc. Lots of fun.
Since DC: Work has been crazy busy for no apparent reason at all. I have a 8 inch stack of paper that needs to be filed that I haven't gotten to. Been a good girl. Studying and enjoying life. The weather is still being funny and that brings me down. One minute it is fabulously warm and sunny which makes me so happy. The next minute it is snowing and gray and I'm moody again. Don't get me wrong, I really like snow. I just don't like ass freezing cold for two months straight, without any break in the temperature. I'm ready for spring.
Juan and I went to get sushi on Valentine's day. It was lovely. We went to this place on north Main and while it was good for the most part, the odd thing was that the manager and waiters would hover over us and basically bend over our table to see what we were doing. It's hard to explain, but it was rather odd. Great mochi though.
This weekend is suppose to be fabulous. Warm, but windy. I can deal with that.
