Dream Last Night

I remember a small snippet of what I believe was an epic dream last night. It wasn't really a scary dream, but it definitely gave me a chill as I recalled it to myself when I woke up.

I was at a beach house with my family. I was walking down a long hallway with my grandmother. The walls of the hallway were made of vertical wooden boards painted white and a deep green carpet covered the floor. The space had a distinct smell, but I can't remember what it was, I just know it wasn't a bad smell and not a good smell, just distinct.

My grandmother wasn't the frail grandmother that I knew this past year, but the grandmother I remember from my childhood, the grandmother that swam laps in her pool and went on daily walks. We were talking about death and whether or not it is something to be feared.

When we reached the end of the hallway and stepped outside into the light. I looked out on the ocean and watched the waves crash up on nearby rocks. My grandmother walked off to swim. There was a tall fence that separated the beach from our beach house land and as I passed it I heard someone call my name. I turned around and there was a man sitting on a bench next to the fence. Apparently I knew him, but in reality all I know was that he was ridiculously tall and looked a lot like Jeremy Irons. I gave him a hug and we started catching up with each other on what we've been doing with our lives. This is all I remember.
