Excellent Trip

We're back from our NC trip and I thought it was quite fun. Got to see my parents, brother, brother's girl, a bunch of friends I haven't seen for a while, John's mom, John's sister and Buddy the dog. I also got to see the farm house my parents are fixing up. I had heard a lot about the work they had been doing on it but this was the first time I had seen the results. It was also fun because that's where we ended up sleeping. They did a great job on the house; it is really a neat place.

Went to my friend Ellen's wedding on Saturday and had a blast. I wasn't too sure what to expect since Ellen once told me months ago that the only time her fiancee and her sat down to plan the wedding was when they were out drinking someplace. It turned out really well. The ceremony was held under a huge oak tree on Ellen's parents' property on the top of a mountain. Our friend Sara performed the wedding. It was fun.

The rest of the time was pretty much spent exploring WNC and eating. John also got some time to watch the Tour so all in all I think it was a successful trip. The flight back wasn't so fun, but they never are I suppose.
