.... was a strange one. It started out alright, dinner and moving outing with a friend on Friday, fun and sushi yesterday, but today was just one of those days that have to be done sooner or later.... laundry and shifting through piles of clothes day. Now here I am taking it easy on the couch watching the Packers/Giants game and trying to stay warm with my enormous mug of green tea, but the rest of the day was spent doing piles of laundry. So I hadn't done laundry in two weeks. How is that even possible? Thanks to John for washing some of my things or else I would've been kinda gross. Over the past two weeks I had managed to build lil clothing nests all over the flippin house. There was the nest in the bathroom next to the door, the nest on the chair in the office, chair in the living room, chair in the bedroom. There was also a good wad in the closet and of course exercise and work clothes in various bags around the house.
Enough was enough. I took today to get my shit in order. It started out like a scavenger hunt or hide and seek, "Now where the hell did I put my Carolina sweatshirt?" I thought to myself, looking under the bed and then the couch [I eventually found it, in my clean clothes basket, ha].
After all the rummaging for my nonsense the laundering began and went on for a long time. During loads I washed dishes, read some ridiculous websites, flipped through a magazine and even cooked up some Matzo ball soup.... oh and ate way too many sweettart hearts. Tangent story...
I have a ridiculous sweet tooth and while I think I control it pretty well by not ever having sweets in the house, today I was at the food store (before all the clothes seeking) and got a bag of valentine's candy for people to have when they come over... or for me to eat almost the entire effin bag in one afternoon. Now I have a wicked sugar hangover, another reason for the enormous mug of green tea right now.
Ok anyway, the point of my rant is that after an entire day of cleaning and arranging I am happy to say that I once again have clean clothes to wear and actually know where it all is. Phew!
