The Way of the White Clouds

In the midst of the ups and (let's be honest now... big) downs of the past few months, I have made a concerted effort to be open to everyone's various ideas about living and have been working on being positive. I'm trying to understand the real opportunities open to me and be directed by some (shall we call it) magical, mysterious flow without over thinking any or all of it. And how am I doing with all that? I'm a moving target but who isn't?

My boss, an amazing, patient and wise woman, told me about her favorite book, "The Way of the White Clouds." While I admit it isn't the easiest book to read, seeing how it jumps around genres and styles (one minute travel log, then spiritual/thoughtful essays, then history lesson...) I have enjoyed it. Some parts made me think and reflect.... made me realize the connections that I many times get too in my head to remember and notice. "In the dust-filled valleys and low plains of our daily existence we have forgotten our connections with stars and suns."
