Trauma (Poem from Nov)
She wanted to touch him but he wasn't there so she wouldn't let herself. Slowly her heart was absorbed into her stomach and indigestion became the pumping of her blood. In between heartattacks and heartburn she stood silently watching the film roll up and end. It spun and flapped. Her liver secreted acidic substances onto her lungs and she looked for balance. The lights were turned off and the door closed. In the shadows she leaned against a wall. Her heart wasn't digesting properly; it left nails in her colon. She bent over to make room but that just made logic and any sense of confidence leave her head. Her legs moved her to the door and without consultation took her to her car. Driving, her heart found its timing and extracted itself only to become a tyrant. At a stoplight she remembered the way only to forget and get lost. She was dehydrating herself in every way. Her skin turned green, her eyes went dark and she broke.
