my oh my this has been a funny day so far. ms. tina, the lady who prepares all the food for the kids here, told me the funniest damn story about when her and her friend took their kids to ride ponies. i'd try to tell the story, but the actual story isn't nearly as funny as seeing ms. tina make pony sounds, scratch at the floor with her feet and make the funniest "pony" faces. sooo funny. number 2... a little boy named keon (3 yrs. old) told me a story about how his mom had a truck with a "tv box" in the back of it and after she put it in the house he watched cartoons, and then his mom's truck was in the mud and all stinky and sharks came and starting eating it and he had to jump out and he kicked them (and he showed me just how he kicked them). wonderful story.
there are a few things that have been hovering in the back of my mind that i really need to take care of... for instance, my room is a disaster area and i intend on fixing that tonight; my taxes; my several rolls of film to be developed (colorado trip, bike race, etc); my coat that i need to take to patagonia to get fixed... these are all things i'm going to accomplish soon and be rid of them. tonight i start with my room.
tomorrow illinois plays duke. i'm pulling for the fighting illini; i think they are a fun looking team. dee brown is very entertaining. coach k and the rest of the dookies are going down.
